Community Events

Community Events

Voluntary

Besides the Workshops that will take place during the weekends, we wanted to create a second format that gives our participants the possibility to come together as a community to get to know each other, to exchange ideas, inspirations and discuss questions. Therefore, we host Community Evenings, where you will get to chat with experts, the Foundersclub members and the other teams on topics such as what it takes to work great as a team, online marketing in the age of social media, what legal questions are relevant for you as founders and much more. All community events will be held virtually.

Customer Needs

Customer Needs:
The Core of Every Start-up!

May 22nd 2021

There is one single reason for a business to exist: delivering value to its customers. Therefore value proposition design is at the core of business modeling. Before digging deeper into it you will get a brief overview about Business Modelling and the Business Model Canvas. To work out an innovative and sustainable business modell and to find ways to implement it, is the raison d'être for a start-up.

Then we start right away tackling your major challenge of the following weeks: WHOEVER will WHYEVER buy your product or service to come? That's the question. Ain't possible to answer from your point of view – not at all. Within this workshop you can learn how to understand your customer's needs and values. And to take this as a basis to build something with a unique value in the eyes of the only person who matters: your customer.

Rapid Prototyping

Rapid Prototyping:
Make Your Idea Visible

May 30th 2021

The development of ready-for-the-market offerings costs a lot of money. This makes it all the more important not only to identify customer needs precisely, but also to test solutions - whether products or services - as early as possible in order to quickly learn from the feedback and thus prevent a waste of resources. This is where the ideas of “rapid prototyping” and “user testing” start.

Based on theory and practice, this workshop will show the why and the how of early validation of solutions in the context of agile innovation processes. Concepts and success factors for the development of protoypes and the execution of tests with users will be presented, applied and discussed.

The University of Freiburg is responsible for the the measure "Startups/Founding at the Upper Rhine" and emphasizes on pilot projects which promote student entrepreneurship activities and networking. These include projects such as the PhD lunches (ktur.eu/en/ktur-phd-talks), a trinational summer school and, of course, the trinational SPARK ideas competition
